TIME MASTERS

11 Secrets to Greater Productivity and Life Fulfillment

Most people don’t need more time—they need a better way to consider it.cover-TIME MASTERS

In Time Masters, I introduce a powerful two-part framework—T-I-M-E and M-A-S-T-E-R-S—designed to help you move beyond busyness and toward intentional living. Each letter is the basis of one of the 11 secrets that I have discovered in the research, interviews, and workshops I have been conducting on time management dating back to my very first book on this key issue, Creative Time Management, published by Prentice-Hall in 1984.

Rather than offering rigid schedules or one-size-fits-all systems, this book shows you how to make smarter, more humane choices about how you use your time at work, at home, and in your relationships.

Part One, T-I-M-E, has four secrets as it focuses on setting meaningful targets, recognizing the people (and even pets) who shape our days, leveraging technology—including AI—wisely, and continually evaluating what works so you can innovate when it doesn’t.

Part Two, M-A-S-T-E-R-S, takes you deeper—exploring seven secrets that examine how stillness, routines, endings, and intentional daily practices help turn good intentions into lasting positive habits.

What makes Time Masters different is that it’s grounded not just in research and theory, but in real conversations. For this book, I drew on interviews, correspondence, or surveys I accomplished with a wide range of accomplished “time masters” such as David Allen, author of Getting Things Done, Paula Rizzo (Listful Thinking), and Mark Sanborn (The Fred Factor). Time Masters is also based on the insights I developed over decades of writing, coaching, and speaking about productivity including in my previously-published books such as the bestselling How to Finish Everything You Start.

Whether you’re feeling overwhelmed, stretched thin, or simply ready to move from being busy to being more purposeful, Time Masters offers a fresh, empowering approach to productivity—one that supports both achievement and fulfillment.

What gives me the authority to advise others on productivity? In addition to being the award-winning author of more than 70 nonfiction and fiction books, I have been able to juggle several successful careers as an adjunct college associate professor, a writer, consultant, and publisher. I have also avoided the workaholism of my parents by achieving a work-life balance by making time for my husband, our two adult sons and their families, my extended family, colleagues and students, and my friends.

Praise:
